Vickie Cummings, LMT, is co-owner/operator of SpiritWings of Bethel. She picked up her first pair of knitting needles at the age of eight and has been a knit wit ever since. Someday when she grows up she'd like to run her own yarn and tea shop.

Cathi Di Cocco, B.A.Ed, chef/owner of Café DiCocoa and DiCocoa’s Market and Bakery, Bethel, has been offering her Fearless! Natural Foods Cooking Classes locally for 25 years. She continues to present food demonstrations and lectures throughout the U.S. Cathi has appeared as guest chef in 5 episodes of Delicious TV, a nationally broadcast cooking show on PBS.


Michelle Eppinger is a Reiki Master/Teacher. She has loved working with crystals and stones since she was a child, and began studying the healing energies about eighteen years ago.

Leon Favreau left the civil engineering field to manage a family-owned wood products firm that manufactured parts and kits for the furniture industry. His interest in holistic health and energy work led to train as an energy practitioner and develop a program to energize ordinary wooden items as aids to wellness. He and his wife Suzie operate a business which designs, produces, and sells energy-enhanced wood products.


Betsey Foster has studied T’ai Chi and Qigong since 1988 and taught since 1993. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and focuses on the health benefits of these arts. She teaches at hospitals and health centers in western and southern Maine as well as writes and lectures on both practices.


With 20 years of martial arts history and 15 years of instructing experience, Black Belt Instructor Mariel Geiger has trained thousands of students in self defense and the martial arts discipline. She has owned and operated Oxford Hills Karate since 1992. Her specialties lie in applying martial arts on an individual basis, from training beginners into international title champions to self defense training that has stood the test of real life attack. Cindi Grassi, a retired school teacher, has taught sewing, quilting and ribbon embroidery for several years in her home, Salem High School Continuing Ed. program, and Joanne's Fabric store. This is a passion for Cindi and she feels blessed to enjoy one of the great heritages of this country.

A photographer for many years, Jim Hannigan has snapped a wide variety of subjects, sports action being one of his favorites. Jim studied photography at Westbrook College and has attended many classes and seminars. A member of Maine Professional Photographers, he is the owner of Intervale Photography in Bethel.


Mahoosuc Guide Service offers guided wilderness trips canoeing in the summer, dogsledding in the winter, and weekend wellness retreats all year round. Polly Mahoney and Kevin Slater lead trips in the outdoors and host events and retreats at their new timberframe Mahoosuc Mountain Lodge in North Newry, Maine. They love to bring people together for learning, experiencing, and having fun!


Jim Marshall lives in West Paris in an off-grid solar-powered house, where any day the sun shines is a good one!


The talented and creative staff at Oxford Mill End Store include Merry Allen, Janet Conners, Tanya Owens, and Coleen Toothaker. Merry has been sewing quilts for many years and always with a smile. The recipients of her creations are family, friends and the extended community including her extensive work in donating to the Linus Project. Merry is a friendly and supportive instructor to aid students with their special projects. As a retired art teacher, Janet brings a fresh and creative approach to traditional rug hooking. She has exhibited her hooked rugs in many museums and galleries and offers custom designed pieces, too. Her wealth of information on the history of rug hooking is extensive and interesting. Coleen and Tanya have both taught many classes in braiding and are a fun and enthusiastic teaching tea. Coleen has worked with 4-H groups and fair groups along with adult education classes. Tanya has also taught adult education classes for braided rugs and braided baskets.


Arla Patch, BFA, Ed, MFA and award-winning author has been an artist and a teacher for over 30 years. Her EXPLORATIONS, Classes in Creative Development, start their 18th season this fall. She developed the Nature Fusion Process™ using photography, which she uses working with others for recovery. She is represented by www.voxphotographs.com.


Kevin Pennell, B.A., CHt. is a Usui/Karuna® Reiki Master/Teacher, Certified Hypnotherapist, Shamanic Practitioner, Intuitive & Spiritual Counselor, Author and Lecturer. He is a member of the Hypnodyne Foundation, Hypnosis International Board of Registration and Foundation for Shamanic Studies. He is available for private sessions in his office at SpiritWings of Bethel.


Cathy Thomas is a native of the north country, although she has traveled extensively. She loves the outdoors and has worn many different hats, but usually finds herself working with children. Frugal and craft-oriented, she is attracted to many different activities and skills.


Patti Truman, CHt. is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Certified Clinical/Medical Hypnotherapist, Sound Therapist, Intuitive and Workshop Facilitator.She is also studying Reflexology and Quantum Touch. Her time spent studying under Caroline Myss has given an even stronger foundation on her healing work which continues on a path of learning and helping others.


Wendy Youmans has practiced yoga for twelve years and has taught for the past five years. She was recently certified in Kripalu Yoga - an open and inclusive style that embraces many forms of yoga and empowers students to befriend and listen to thier own bodies.
