Rug Braiding
Wool braided rugs are often passed from one generation to the next. In six evening classes , Coleen Toothaker and Tanya Owens will help you create your own 2’ x 3’ braided rug and start your own family tradition. You will learn how to prepare materials, create your center, braid and lace your rug.

Beginner Quilting Class
There are three patterns suggested in this class including Trip Around the World, Turning Twenty, and Slit Rail Fence. All of these choices offer the student a fun and easy way to create a beautiful quilt for keeping or giving! This class is perfect for beginners or those that haven’t sewn in a while but can be used for those with more experience as a great place to share quilting tips and stories with others.

Primitive Rug Hooking
Rug Hooking is an old fashioned craft that is low-tech and simple. Low-tech means low stress and who couldn’t use a class that teaches an art form and relaxes our minds? Janet Conners will show you how to use wool strips to create a hooked rug. It’s simple and lots of fun.

Silk Ribbon Embroidery
This is a complete kit class that when finished will yield
a beautiful finished wall hanging. Cindi Grassi will
teach you straight, lazy daisy, ribbon, French knot, and
gathering stitches that will enable you to make beautiful
flowers.

Thursday Night Knitters
The gentle art of knitting has re-emerged as a simple, creative, and meditative past time. It’s also a great way to have fun with two pointy sticks and a piece of string! Based on the popular S & B groups, these evenings are designed to bring together knitters of all ages and abilities. Beginner’s kits and instruction are available for a reasonable fee; please call ahead.

Basic Sewing by Machine
In this eight-week course, Cindi Grassi will teach you the basics of sewing by machine. In the first two classes you’ll learn how to use your machine. Then you will make two decorative pillows in your choice of sizes and an 18”x24” tote bag. A sewing machine is required.
